What I’m up to right now…

I’m performing at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church under the direction of Dennis Montgomery III every Sunday and continuing to learn lots of contemporary and traditional Gospel songs.
I’m deep into the musical style of Robben Ford, who I’ve been studying with through his online dojo program. Robben’s insights and positivity about my playing have made practicing really enjoyable lately.
In my “free time” I’m working on my Master’s in Music Education from the University of Florida online, which is fun. My teaching skills are improving and it’s nice to be back in school.
Scarlett and I are planning our wedding for this fall!
This has been a busy year at Maritime Music Studio with some excellent projects. I recorded a major audiobook - Rich Benoit’s Going Fast and Fixing Things. I’ve played on a bunch of tracks and recorded many more and we made a fantastic new jazz album with Timo Shanko and Jim Hobbs, The Depression Tapes.
I’m actively working on ROJI Volume 2 and it’s coming together quite nicely.
My fiancee Scarlett and I are performing as our jazz duo Giullietta. I’m finally memorizing lots of standards thanks to the opportunity to play with Scarlett.
Scarlett and I are teaching Intro to Songwriting Workshops. We received a grant from the Mass Cultural Council to offer some of our programming for free to local residents.
The release of ROJI Vol. 1: The Gunman of Silver City has been incredibly encouraging and rewarding. I’m so glad to have this music and artwork out now. You can check it out here.
Playing some great shows with The Attractors.
Plus I’m working on my Pirate Music Theory book and if you’d be interested in helping me proofread and come up with ideas for the book, you can participate in the beta program by signing up by clicking here.
